Restaurant Het Reigershof is anchored with the village and its residents. But so is chef Maarten Janssens, who grew up in this polder region. Moreover, Maarten worked in the restaurant for quite some time at the beginning of his career, at the side of the then chef. Marian Kruisdijk, who comes from a culinarily inspired background, was also a familiar face. Since they took the helm themselves, this feels like coming home to Maarten and Marian. Chef Maarten is passionate about fresh, seasonal products. He carefully selects them from small producers, preferably local ones. He prepares fish, asparagus, game ... sometimes classic, sometimes with a southern or eastern touch, but always surprising. You can opt for the menu, which changes regularly. The chef serves a variety of seasonal accents in an attractive tasting menu, which changes almost every month. This menu is customizable, from three to six courses, with or without appropriate wines. On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, in addition to the à la carte menu, you can opt for the lunch menu, a choice of balanced flavors in three courses, also available with adapted wines. Hostess Marian ensures that customers lack for nothing. It is important to her that guests keep a warm feeling from their restaurant visit. She sees to it that the meal proceeds pleasantly and pours the most delicious aperitifs and wines. These are passionately selected by Maarten and tasted together beforehand. The whole team is committed to reviving fine dining traditions. Like finishing a sabayon or an Irish coffee at the table, still a unique experience.
