Indonesian cuisine is a collection of various regional culinary traditions that formed the archipelagic nation of Indonesia. There are a wide variety of recipes and cuisines in part because Indonesia is composed of approximately 6,000 populated islands of the total 17,508 in the world's largest archipelago, with more than 1,300 ethnic groups. Many regional cuisines exist, often based upon indigenous culture with some foreign influences. Indonesia has around 5,350 traditional recipes, with 30 of them considered the most important. Here are some for you! Bon appétit! And what makes Indonesian coffee so special? Well as for our coffee, did you know that Indonesia with her annual production of 564 000 tonnes is the 4th largest producer of coffee in the world? Well, with our partners, we work with many local farmers where the coffee cherries are hand-picked, sorted and sun dried before being carefully selected for export. Our emphasis is on sustainable, fair-trade single origin coffees sourced directly from small family run producers which are imported and freshly roasted by our local partners. We hope to see you soon at our café to enjoy these delights. Children welcome. Accessible for persons with reduced mobility with specially designed toilets to allow wheelchair access.

Savoury Indonesian dishes (ie salted) are generally not at their best: the rendang rice bowl was not tasty (too much rice vs too few beef, spring onion remplaced by oignons nouveaux, no sauce…), and the salad not sufficiently seasoned with spices…in short, we would have expected more traditional Indonesian dishes full of flavours. Desserts were perfect on the contrary and I recommend to stay for a coffee or tea + desserts. Isn’t it a « café » after all ?

Was easy to booked and lady's were nice.. the guy also nice but maybe could be more nice.. To be honest the bakwan is good could give 7,5 rice bowl rendang is so so i dont know maybe you could more creative put some more in the bowl instead just rendang, rice, sunny egg, maybe you could put teri kacang and sambal ijo because this typical indonesian restaurant.. i would give 7 point. the one are a bit disappointed was lemonade homemade honestly the taste like more watery :( maybe the tea were hot and you put ice on it and the ice melt.. which is not good ending of it.. As indonesian i could prefer if you put more indonesian menu..

The service, location (garden) and food was really good and also really well priced. Maybe one slight comment on my beef rendang. I would have liked some more of that amazing sauce/meat, now I didn’t have enough and I ended up with a half bowl of plain rice without any flavour. Otherwise a really nice experience.

I felt very much at ease from the entrance, you can tell that time and thought were put into the interior design to bring a very cozy, tropical vibe that takes you straight to Indonesia. The crowd was eclectic and international, such a breath of fresh air compared to the places where there's no social mixity. Now, the food. I had the Battavia special noodles, and although the noodles could have been cooked a tad more, the overall taste was on point, the ingredients fresh and the order prepared quite fast. It was my first time there and I really wanted to try out the chiffon pandan cake which I hear is quite delicious but I came in a bit too close to the closing time and it was over. So, I'll be coming again to try out other dishes and the famed cake :) Keep it up, you're doing great !
