About this restaurant
Once an inn for weary travelers, this establishment has regained its glory as an authentic "estaminet" for all those who wish to quench their thirst or hunger, while enjoying a piece of history far older than Belgium. Under the cornice, between two windows, Mother Spider has been watching over us since 1762, bringing us good luck. And if you lend an ear, you might hear the gentle rustle of the little arm of the Senne that flowed here until the 19th century. Or perhaps it's the last sighs coming from the 16th-century Chartreuse, once located just across the street?

The food is pure Belgian bliss! But i'm a sucke...

The food is pure Belgian bliss! But i'm a sucker for their crème brûlée. But if I want a real Belgian home cooked like meal, this is my place. It's just true, not fancy, and that's a rare find nowadays. One of my absolute favourite restaurants. PS good beers too!

De la bonne bière et un bon plat de carbonnade...

De la bonne bière et un bon plat de carbonnade flamande pour une bonne soirée ensoleillée en terrasse. Je recommande vivement et ce n'est pas loin de la Bourse.

Je connais ce restaurant de longue date et il propose toujours les mêmes valeurs : cuisine traditionnelle mais pas ennuyeuse, bon service et excellent rapport qualité prix. J’ai déjà emmené des connaissance, ils ont été conquis et je compte bien recommencer.
