Once an inn for weary travelers, this establishment has regained its glory as an authentic "estaminet" for all those who wish to quench their thirst or hunger, while enjoying a piece of history far older than Belgium. Under the cornice, between two windows, Mother Spider has been watching over us since 1762, bringing us good luck. And if you lend an ear, you might hear the gentle rustle of the little arm of the Senne that flowed here until the 19th century. Or perhaps it's the last sighs coming from the 16th-century Chartreuse, once located just across the street?

Le personnel est charmant et très efficace, nous avons bien mangé et rapidement, un plus avant une séance de cinéma à 20h30... Un resto typiquement bruxellois avec des plats qu'on ne trouve pas ailleurs et une addition vraiment raisonnable! Je reviendrai!

Alle tafelgenoten waren zeer tevreden over de enthousiaste en eerlijke uitleg bij de gerechten van de gastvrije ober (jonge gast met zwarte krullen). Hoe hij elk gerecht met smaak kon beschrijven was zo heerlijk dat kiezen een beetje voelde als verliezen. Maar de gerechten waren allemaal heel lekker!
