About this restaurant
n Brasserie Rongese (the old name of Runkst) you can enjoy traditional dishes on a high level with a good glass of wine. This is the concept of sommelier Peter Merken. He is supported in his culinary ambition by Cees van Corler, former sous chef of the iconic Scholteshof. Since August this year (2021) Marijn Carremans, former chef of Bistro Nano has joined our team. After a 6-year long collaboration at Bistro Nano, Peter and Marijn went their separate ways but now their paths cross again! The wine and beer gourmands will undoubtedly find their liking here. Peter's personally selected wines and the extensive range of Belgian speciality beers provide an added bonus. At the end of 2019, this former pub was included in the Gault&Millau; guide of 2020 with a score of 12/20. At the end of 2021, Rongese was rewarded with an extra point in the Gaul&Millau; guide of 2022 and also included in the Michelin guide. Expect delicious and fresh cuisine at a fair price.
